We are moving away from Square Invoicing with our new booking and invoicing system. So this should not impact you if you are booking with us using our online booking system (Rezgo).
Cancellation by Yukon Guided Adventures
In the case where Yukon Guided Adventures has to cancel a trip due to COVID-19 restrictions, weather, force majeure, minimum numbers not being met, or any reason out of our control, we shall refund the full amount paid already. We reserve the right to do so within 14 days prior to departure of our trip.
Late payment policy
All our clients receive an email reminder 48 hours prior to the balance payment due date. If a payment is overdue by 10 days and we have not heard from the client since sending the first reminder (48h prior to due date, so for a total of 12 days), the deposit will be forfeited and the spot on the trip will be made available.
Unexpected events
As adventure travel involves unexpected events (extreme weather, wildlife encounters, natures obstacles), trip itineraries may be modified to ensure the safety of the participants. Modifying the itinerary may cause changes to the time of day the tour ends. Participants are strongly encouraged to book at least one additional night in Whitehorse the day prior to their departure flight.
On all our trips, guides have the right to change the itinerary if the group security is threatened (bad weather, wildfire, wildlife, etc.). In Kluane National Park especially, trails can be closed by park employees because of high grizzly presence in some areas. In case of an itinerary change, guides will redirect the group onto an alternative itinerary, with similar value, difficulty and contents.
Travel Insurance
We strongly advise our customers to purchase travel insurance, which covers :
- Personal liability
- Medical emergency, repatriation expenses and search and rescue expenses
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Loss/damage of baggage and personal effects and baggage delay
Liability
All guests are required to sign a Release Agreement (Waiver) form for personal responsibility and a Rental Agreement form for equipment responsibility.
Participants are responsible for any damage or loss to any equipment provided by Yukon Guided Adventures as part of the trip (canoes, paddles, life jackets, tents, etc.). Any lost or damaged equipment will be charged at full retail price. We expect a normal amount of wear and tear on all equipment being rented, however extra damages and repair fees will be decided upon at the discretion of our Operations Manager. All late returns will be charged at an hourly or daily rate as rented.
Accommodation
All accommodation included in our tours are carefully chosen by Yukon Guided Adventures. We work with hotels, motels and B&B’s throughout the Yukon that welcome our clients with warm northern hospitality. All of our trip prices are based on a double occupancy in tents and hotel rooms.
If you would like to have your own tent and own hotel room there will be an single supplement fee added to your package price. If you are travelling as a single and don’t mind sharing a tent and hotel room with someone, let us know and we’ll do our best to match you with another single. We cannot guarantee a shared accommodation and you may be required to pay the single supplement fee or have the option to cancel, subject to penalties.
